Varieties

The varieties in the Third Pillar Olive Grove are the Italian classics from Tuscany – Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino. We’ve also planted “Minerva” (a recently developed variation of Leccino) and “Zeus” (from Pendolino) to enhance our production capacity.

The mix of varieties was a conscious decision from the onset: these trees pollinate each other, can be used in varietal production, as well as complementing each other for blending.
